How to Convert Google Maps Routes to KML/GPX

1. Plan Your Route in Google Maps

Open Google Maps and create your route by entering a starting point and destination.
To add waypoints click on the create route and drag the point to the desired waypoint location.
Do not use the "Add destination" button.

2. Copy the URL

Once your route is created, copy the entire URL from your browser's address bar.

3. Paste the URL and Convert

Paste the URL in the field above and click "Convert".

4. Download the File

Click "Download KML" or "Download GPX" to get the file to import into your GPS device.
